Marcin Napiórkowski is a cultural semiotician, a lecturer at the Institute of Polish Culture at Warsaw University. He studies contemporary mythologies, particularly collective memory and popular culture. He is the author of several books, including Turbopatriotyzm (Turbopatriotism, 2019). He is a regular contributor to Tygodnik Powszechny and also blogs at mitologiawspolczesna.pl.
